Rocketship Education is a national, non-profit elementary charter school network dedicated to eliminating the achievement gap.

Our mission is to enable low-income elementary school students to reach academic proficiency by the time they graduate from Rocketship, so that they are prepared for a rigorous middle-and high-school education that will lead to enrollment and graduation from a four-year college.

Apply for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) today!

Rocketship Brilliant Minds and Rocketship 9/Sylvandale will offer TK to 5-year olds whose birthday falls between October 2 and December 2. Apply at any RSED school site today.

Lottery Process

All Rocketship schools will publicly announce their open enrollment period on an annual basis. Following the open enrollment period each year, applications will be counted to determine whether any grade level has received more applications than availability of space at that school. In this event that this happens, RSED will hold a public random drawing to determine enrollment for the impacted grade level, with the exception of existing students (2nd year forward) who are guaranteed enrollment in the following school year. Download our Policies and Procedures for Student Outreach, Application, Lotteries, and Enrollment.

5. Rocketship Discovery Prep (370 Wooster Ave., San Jose, CA 95116)
6. Rocketship Brilliant Minds (2962 Story Rd., San Jose, CA 95127)
7. Rocketship Alma Academy (198 W. Alma Ave., San Jose, CA 95510)

The last day to submit an application for the Spring lottery is Friday 4/19/13 at 4:00pm.  Please be sure to visit one of our schools in order to submit an application if you wish to have your child included in the Spring lottery.

The Spring lottery will be held on Wednesday April 24th, 2013 at 8:00am.  The lottery for all schools will take place at Rocketship's San Jose Regional office: 2001 Gateway Place Suite 230E, San Jose CA 95110. 

Each school will post their results from the lottery on Tuesday, 4/30/13, and letters will be mailed to all families whose child was Accepted and/or Waitlisted during the lottery.
